Bay Windows

Do you have a draft moving through your house? As your home settles over time, gaps can form between the windows of your home and their frames, leading to drafts and increased energy costs. Installing replacement windows can have an immediate impact on your energy costs today, and help you avoid costly home repairs in the future.

Two popular forms of replacement windows are bay windows and bow windows. Bay and bow windows are actually a combination of three or more windows that are commonly used to provide:

  • the illusion of a larger room
  • an increased flow of natural light
  • extended views of the outside

Bay windows are frequently referred to as "picture windows". A bay window is made by installing a large picture window flanked on either side with smaller windows. For example, casement windows (also known as "crank" windows) may be used on either side of a bay window to increase a room's ventilation.

Bow windows are made of four or more windows and come in a wide variety of shapes, styles and sizes. They can be customized to fit virtually any style or budget.
